Conference Events
Opening Ceremony
Everyone is welcome to attend the Opening Ceremony and to celebrate and support our newest Leaders.
Leader Dessert Discussion
LLL of ME/NH is asking all Leaders and Leader Applicants to join us for a Leader Dessert Discussion from 1:30 to 2:00. We will update you on important LLLI information, Area Agreements, and Area Council news. It will be a great time to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. We will have some exciting drawings and delicious desserts that will be provided by the Area.
Bookstore
A variety of books about breastfeeding, childbirth, nutrition, natural living, and parenting, as well as books for children will be available.
Silent Auction
Our Silent Auction will feature a wide variety of donated items. Silent Auction bidding instructions will be provided in the Program Booklet the day of the Conference. For more information or if you would like to donate items, contact Leila McRae at (207) 752-4611 or leilamus@yahoo.com
Rock and Rest
Rock and rest offers a quiet room where parent and baby can rest, nurse, or take a break.
Children's Activity Center
The Children's Activity Center is a place where parents and children can play games and have fun. Toys and arts and crafts materials will be provided. LLL of ME/NH does not provide child care. All children must be supervised in the Children's Activity Center by a parent or qualified care giver aged 12 or older.
Special Program for Dads/Caregivers and Their Kids
Share the night sky with your kids and family of all ages. Our very own LLLL planetarium projectionist and lecturer will show you how to make a simple planisphere and how to get started with practical use of one to start your journey into the twinkling sky with confidence and ease. You will learn how to find stories of the night sky and to use a few well-known constellations to find others as you play Dot-To-Dot across the sky.
This session is in the dark (dark, dark, dark) with stars above at Southworth Planetarium (just 2 miles down the road from our Conference venue). It will run during the 3rd session from 1:30 to 2:45. Tickets will also be available for the 3pm Planetarium show at a reduced rate. Please contact Alyssa at alyssatuininga@yahoo.com for more information.
